£90
Scottish silver mustard pot, likely by James McKay,Edinburgh, circa 1810, 8.5cm diameter
No obvious dents, cracks or repairs. There is noticeable scratching of the interior. The hinge of the lid is loose, so there is some wiggle in the movement of the lid. The lid does not fit into the recess of the base, suggesting there may be a liner missing. The finial may be slightly tilted. There are some letters and numbers scratched into the underside. The hallmarks are worn and becoming indistinct.
